The Hot Buttered Sunset Gun is what the name suggests a Gun for Sunset Beach in Hawaii. Terry Fitzgerald was arguably the most influential Australian Surfer in Hawaii of that era. His Sunset Guns had concaves, wings, spiral vees among other design quirks not experimented with in this way before. Surfed in pumping waves all over the world, the ‘Sultan of Speed’ made a name for himself on the rock that is the North Shore of Hawaii & his Sunset Guns are a legacy of that.
